ABC West Virginia member company ALCON, LLC is proud to be involved in giving back to their community in many ways.
Over the past year, ALCON participated in the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life" event, the annual Muscular Distrophy Association's "Lock-Up" fundraiser, as well as organizing a canned food drive with collections going to local food pantries. In addition, ALCON contributed to the building of homes in Buckhannon and Elkins in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity.
The company routinely supports athletic teams in the area, as well as an anti-drug program called "Hooked on Fishing - Not on Drugs." Specific to the contruction industry, the company hosts youth group tours of their facility in an effort to give young people a glimpse into the block and concrete production business.
"Our employees truly enjoy taking part in such worthwhile events" stated Amy Thomason, Marketing Director for ALCON, LLC. "By doing so, they are not only supporting great causes in the community, they are also receiving a great deal of personal satisfaction for their efforts" Thomason said.
