Associated Builders & Contractors is
dedicated to promoting open competition and free enterprise in the construction industry. We are opposed to discriminatory bidding practices and fight to ensure that all contractors, union or not, have equal access to markets.
Through our Political Action Committee (IMPAC), we support pro-business candidates who believe that the government's role should be to foster economic development, not hinder it.
During the upcoming legislative session ABC will fight to keep workers' comp premiums from increasing, lobby for prevailing wage and tax reform, and form coalitions with other business groups to make West Virginia more business-friendly.
Specific "Hot Topic" items will be added and/or updated during the legislative session to ensure timely accurate information. From time to time, we will call upon our members to contact their legislators on specific issues.
