Every year, ABCWV industry leaders from every corner of the mountain state come to Charleston during the West Virginia legislative session to meet and discuss critical issues with lawmakers.
In recent years, ABCWV and its member companies along with the association staff have worked diligently to pass significant reforms in West Virginia which positively enhance the construction industry. Despite heavy opposition, West Virginia has passed marquee legislation such as a ban on publicly funded Project Labor Agreement (PLAs), worked to repeal the State's archaic, costly and anti-competitive prevailing wage laws and helped form the coalition which fought to make West Virginia the 26th Right to Work State. In addition, our legislative agenda has contained countless other initiatives to make West Virginia a better place to live, work or own a business in West Virginia.
This year ABCWV will hold a legislative luncheon on Thursday, February 21st at Noon
in the McManus Room
